Sleepy Hollow Blues Club was formed in 1994 by a dedicated group of blues lovers in Geelong. The club meets every second Sunday for a top-class blues jam, and there are frequent social events, featuring a wide variety of local and visiting musicians, including Geoff Achison, Rockbottom James & the Detonators, Jeff Lang, Phil Manning, Stringy Bark McDowell, Chain, Kate Meehan, Matt Corcoran, Muddy Puddles, Turning Blue, Spectrum, Backstreet Blues, Wild Turkey, Hatz Fitz, Grizzly Bros, Blind Dog & the Reverend, Oozin’ Blues, Brian Fraser, Kerry Simpson, The Big Blue, 4.3 Bandinos, Third Degree, Bo Jenkins, Chris Finnen,
Chubby Rae & the Elevators, Marco Goldsmith, Salty Dog, Lloyd Speigal, Harper,
Fiona Boyes and Dutch Tilders just to name a few.
The club is associated with other blues clubs around Australia, including the Melbourne Blues Appreciation Society and the South Australian Blues Society, and members are welcome at other clubs’ functions.
BLUES CLUB GIGS
The club meets on the 4th Sunday of the month at Geelong Trades Hall 127 Myers St Geelong. Entry is from the rear from Smyth Place. A jam session is held from 3pm – 6pm followed by a feature band from 6:30 till 9pm.

The Bluestone Festival
Held every New Years’ Eve, is the highlight of the club’s activities, with attendances of about 500, as blues lovers from the Geelong district and all over the country flock to enjoy this event. The festival runs over two days, starting on New Year’s Eve afternoon until the early hours of the morning, then most people camp overnight and rock on during New Years’ Day. With a well-stocked bar, hot and cold food, and merchandise stalls ensure that all attendees are well catered for. Download this years Poster PDF.

Membership applies annually from 1st August each year. If new members join in June or July of any year, we’ll give you the additional months free!
